Closing of the year

Well, it is the end of the year, and time for me to be busily moving about the house, organizing, methodically clearing out junk and getting things into their right locations. I am thoroughly enjoying the shop, making things and making sales. The holidays saw a lot of gifts that way. One pair of earrings I hated to see go, and if I have extra green beads, I’m making a pair for myself! I loved those. I have to make better strides in dealing with technology though. Although I’ve gotten excellent with Twitter *yay me*, I still can’t deal with Facebook (and I’ve deleted the page, I just can’t do it).

But I’m doing well elsewhere, my knitting is coming along great! I’m in the works on two projects right now. I am making a beautiful scarf with a lilac and black twisted yarn, and I’m trying a 5 double ended needle set to make leg warmers. That one is a bit trickier. I just finished another baby blanket, and I did make a great charcoal crochet cap but liked it too much so I kept it… ooops.

I went to the PA Renaissance Festival this Autumn with friends and scored huge because a beading store was going out of business. EVERYTHING was 1/2 off! I bought way too much, but it was so worth it. 🙂 And the beads, wire, cord and findings were all so unique that I just couldn’t pass them up. It’s things like this that get me into trouble.

To end this, I hope you all enjoyed your holiday, whether it was Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or Christmas, Boxing Day, Kwanza or any other Festivas occasion! I love the following song so much and I hope to share it with you to, at the closing of the year.

BTW, this is from the BEST holiday movie ever, “Toys” with Robin Williams. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend checking it out.
