So what have I been doing lately? Quite a bit. I’m in the midst of another baby afghan. This one will be stripes of white, slate and pink. I thought at first the colours would be a bit bold, and they are unique, but they look fantastic together. I think this is going to look great! I am also still working on that knit scarf in a purple and black twisted yarn, which is looking quite pretty. Both of these I’m hoping to have done in the next week or two depending on time availability. I’m also working on some jewelry, I finished off a really awesome bracelet that I need to get posted, and I’m also working on some earrings with irregular green stones. In the midst of all this, I’m making myself a skirt. I’ve been testing out my serger with a pattern and so far it seems to be working pretty well, I may have to alter it down a bit. I have a tendency to make things larger and then have to alter it down to actually fit me. I just always worry I’ll make it too small and it won’t fit, this way, I can always make sure I can re-adjust. I did that with my costumes and it worked great, especially when I had several yards of tulle to wear under one of the skirts. We’ll see how things go and hopefully soon I’ll have those new items done and uploaded to La Peu Boutique!

As an experienced fiber artist, I crochet and knit a variety of scarves, hat and other fiber art accessories using the wonderful local handmade, hand-dyed yarns in my area. I also use the best yarns made from wool, alpaca, mohair, silk and bamboo, while still using acrylic for those items that need easy care. View all posts by La Paw Boutique
